This aerial color photo shows the Anaconda Aluminum Company plant from the north as construction was nearing completion in 1955. The paste plant and storage silos are in the foreground, with four long potrooms, the casting facility to the left, the warehouse and machine shops to the right, offices and parking lot to the far right, the high voltage switchyard at the south end of the potlines, and a cleared strip of land on the opposite side of the Flathead River for the Bonneville Power Administration transmission lines from the Hungry Horse Dam and the Hot Springs substation.
